so. only one death attributed to Hurricane Isabel in the NY/NJ area. Unfortunate yes. Unlikely no. An off duty NYPD officer WAS SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN DURING THE HURRICANE and was thrown against the rocks.

My stolen cable has gone out again which is probably why I have turned to the computer for weekend vegging and entertainment. I can't watch the Spongebob Sqarepants DVD any longer. In fact, I'm burned on all my dvds and videos. I may have to read or do homework.

The horror.

So I guess after two years I will have to break down and call Comcast and buy cable but that means . . .HBO!!!!! I can watch the Sopranos in real time instead of a year later. I still haven't seen any episodes from season 4.

Hurricane Isabel was kind of crazy. It didn't hit us hard by any means but we certainly felt the effects of it. It was like a crazy warm wind storm. In Seattle we would occaisionaly have winter wind storms and if they were really good ones, the local news would give them a title along with special news graphics and music. . .like WIND STORM 2000 dah da daduh duhduh da!

Pretty much everyone went about their business as usual. I saw a couple of downed trees. . .nothing unexpected.

Okay. I'm boring myself now.
